- Optionally set starts-with, contains, or length filters.
- Press Unscramble and read the words grouped longest-first.
About this tool
Drop in a jumble of letters and this unscrambler returns every word its built-in list of thousands of common English words (three to nine letters) can make from them — the full anagram space, not just the longest word. A ? acts as a wildcard for any letter, so partial-rack situations in Scrabble or Words with Friends are covered. Filters narrow the hunt: must start with, must contain, exact length, or minimum length, which is exactly how daily puzzle constraints look in practice. Results are grouped by word length (longest first) with counts per group, and one button copies the entire list for pasting into notes. The word list and matcher run entirely on your device, so it works offline once loaded and never reports your letters anywhere. Your file never leaves this page — processing runs entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded and the data is dropped from memory when you close the tab.
