Unlock PDF — Remove the Password From Your Own File
Enter the password, download an unrestricted copy. Useful when a file you created keeps asking for a password on every device.
Quick answer: Remove the password from a PDF you own: enter the password once, get an unrestricted copy you can edit, print and share. Decryption happens in your browser — the file is never uploaded.
How to use
- Load the protected PDF.
- Type the password.
- Download the unlocked copy.
About this tool
Password-protected PDFs are annoying when you are the owner: the browser asks again on every device, some editors refuse to open them at all, and merging them into another document fails silently. This tool decrypts your copy locally and writes a new, unrestricted file. It only works when you know the password — it is not a password breaker, and it will not open somebody else's protected document. Your file never leaves this page — pdf-lib runs in your browser, there is no upload endpoint on this site, and the document is dropped from memory when you close the tab.
