About this tool

Most PDF-to-EPUB tools quietly send your file to a server; this one never does. The whole conversion happens in the tab: pdf.js reads the text layer of every page, the pages are grouped into chapters of five, and JSZip assembles a valid EPUB 2 package — mimetype, META-INF/container.xml, content.opf, toc.ncx and XHTML chapters — that calibre, Apple Books, Kobo and most e-readers open happily. One honest limitation up front: this is a text-only conversion. Images, columns, tables and fonts are not carried over, and scanned PDFs without a text layer cannot be converted at all. For reports, papers, manuals and public-domain books it turns a rigid PDF into reflowable reading. Your file never leaves this page — processing runs entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded and the data is dropped from memory when you close the tab.
