About this tool

Before you run a downloaded installer or forward an invoice, compare its checksum — the file cryptographic fingerprint — against the value the publisher published. This verifier computes SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384 and SHA-512 in one pass using the browser native Web Crypto engine, shows every digest in hexadecimal with a one-click copy button, and gives an unambiguous MATCH or MISMATCH verdict when you paste an expected hash. SHA-256 is the current recommendation for verifying downloads. Two honest limits: MD5 cannot be computed because browser crypto deliberately does not offer it, and files above 512 MB are still hashed but may be slow or memory-hungry on modest devices. Your file never leaves this page — processing runs entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded and the data is dropped from memory when you close the tab.
