About this tool

Speed tests lie when they use tiny files or far-away servers. This one measures against Cloudflare's edge — the same network that serves a huge share of the internet, with a datacenter near almost everyone. It downloads 25 MB and uploads 5 MB of random data and times both, then reports megabits per second plus your ping. Nothing about you is stored; the test data is random bytes. For the fairest result, pause other downloads and streams while testing.

Which servers does it use?

Cloudflare's edge network — your connection automatically hits the nearest datacenter.

Why do results vary?

Wi-Fi distance, other devices, ISP congestion and time of day all affect speed — run it a few times.

Is 100 Mbps good?

For HD streaming and video calls, yes; 25+ Mbps already handles 4K on one screen.

Does the test use my data cap?

It transfers ~30 MB total — trivial, but worth knowing on tight mobile caps.
